Your bedroom is fully furnished, but if you wish to bring in any furniture of your own, please discuss this with the manager prior to admission. Personal items such as paintings, photographs, ornaments may be brought in to make your room feel homely. All items must display relevant British Standard Fire Retardant symbol.

Personal clothing and all items should be clearly marked with your name.

If bringing valuables, jewellery, large amounts of money, etc. we would advise you to hand these into the office for safekeeping. We cannot be held responsible for such items should they go missing unless they are kept in the locked metal wall cupboard. Alternatively we would recommend you leave large amounts of money or valuables with a family member.

All electrical items must be electrically tested prior to use. The Gardener/Handyperson is appropriately trained to carry out these tests and will do so as soon as possible when you arrive. This applies to all electrical items you may acquire after your admission.

Philosophy of Care

To provide a happy, homely and stimulating environment to enable residents to achieve their full potential, where individual’s independence, personal dignity, choice, privacy and their rights as individuals are respected in order to lead and enjoy as normal a life as possible.

To provide sensitive, loving and skilful care for older people who, even with help, can no longer safely live in their own home.

To provide stable and effective management within the Home, in order to promote effective communication and development within the team.
